Topics: Website Development

If you’ve got a lot of time on your hands, we challenge you to hop onto WordPress and check out all 40,296 different available plug-ins. Think you can manage all that? Yeah, weren’t banking on it.

Having so many plug-in options available to WordPress users is really cool and all, but it’s also an extremely overwhelming number. While you certainly can’t give your attention to each and every one, though, you also can’t afford not to figure out which ones are actually worth your time! What’s a person to do?

Once again, MTM saves the day! We’ve taken the liberty of weeding through all those plug-ins so that you don’t have to, and we’re willing to share 12 of our favorites with you. You’re welcome.

Just Writing

We’re always telling you how important content development is, but writing blogs is a huge pain when you keep having to deal with formatting issues. Just Writing takes Distraction-Free Writing Move (DFWM) to the next level, offering features like spellcheck and paragraph styling.

Google XML Sitemaps

What good is your content if Google doesn’t know about it? This plug-in lets you create an XLM sitemap that makes it easier for Google and other search engines to accurately index your blog and stay current with it.

Jetpack

There’s very little that Jetpack doesn’t let you do. Find mobile themes, take advantage of content tools, run analytics on your marketing efforts. Up, up, and away!

Proofread Bot

Ugh, who has time for editing? Re-reading what you already wrote is boring, but you don’t want your posts littered with errors. Enter: Proofread Bot, your new best friend for eliminating spelling, grammatical mistakes, and accidental plagiarism.

Broken Link Checker

Telling your readers all about this totally awesome link they need to check out in order to buy your product only to find out that the link doesn’t actually work… well, that’s embarrassing! Broken Link Checker will keep you posted so that you can make changes and corrections before your audience notices.

Leadin

Want to understand the psychology of your website’s visitors and convert them into viable leads? Leadin is a marketing automation and lead tracking plug-in that will provide you with valuable info about a visitor’s behavior so that you can learn what makes them tick.

FD Word Statistics

What you typed out made sense to you, but does it make good sense to your audience? How easy are your posts to read and comprehend, really? FD Word Statistics scores your writing for readability based upon the level of education required to understand what the heck you’re talking about.

Editorial Calendar

Sometimes it’s difficult to stay on target with your blog posting and scheduling goals. Editorial Calendar’s drop-and-drop functionality makes it a lot easer to manage your content -- even when it’s coming from multiple authors.

WordPress SEO by Yoast

Stay on track when you’re writing your blog posts instead of going off on a wild rant and losing focus. WordPress SEO forces you to choose a keyword before you even start writing so that you don’t stray too far off topic.

Google Analytics by Yoast

This plug-in integrates with Google Analytics API and makes it possible for you to quickly and accurately track your blog’s performance directly within your Wordpress accountt. You can even see how readers are getting to your page.

OptinMonster

Having trouble getting new readers to subscribe to your email list? OptinMonster comes with a user-friendly form builder that empowers you to create more chances for your visitors to “opt in” to your email marketing campaign.

Click to Tweet

Increase your visibility and reach into the Tweet-o-sphere. With a single click, you can add a “Click to Tweet” box after noteworthy quotes, facts, and statistics within your content so that readers share your message with others.

Your company’s marketing should be the secret sauce, ever elusive unicorn, and magic bullet that your company has been waiting for. Bottom line, it should be bringing you that money.
